HIGH PERFORMANCE MECHNICAL ZINC PLATE, TRIVALENT PASSIVATE AND TOPCOAT
ZinKlad™ 250 M is a hexavalent chromium-free coating system that will meet today's industry demands for high performance surface treatments.
It combines a mechanically plated metallic zinc deposit of 8 microns minimum thickness, with a high build iridescent passivate and clear topcoat.
ZinKlad 250 M consistently meets minimum performance demands for corrosion and torque modification.
- Mitigates risk of Hydrogen Embrittlement
- Excellent Corrosion Resistance
- Consistent Performance
- Low thickness coating free of ‘head fill’
- Global Availability
ZinKlad 250 M deposits are applied from our MacuGuard mechanical zinc process. This provides an economical bulk method for applying zinc coatings onto metallic substrates. Deposit appearance is semi-bright with excellent corrosion protection which is free from hydrogen embrittlement.
- No white rust after exposure to 96 hours’ neutral salt spray.
- No red rust after exposure to 240 hours’ neutral salt spray.
ZinKlad 250 M zinc systems are completed with the application of a high build trivalent passivate followed by a specialist topcoat layer.
MacDermid TriPass ELV range of high build trivalent passivate films impart a silver-iridescent color, whilst extending corrosion resistance against the formation of white rust.
JS and Torque'n'Tension topcoats provide increased corrosion resistance and modify surface properties to ensure uniform torque and clamping characteristics.
