A group of specially developed products that can operate from -26oC to 400oC and have been engineered with exceptional thermal stability for demanding ultra-high temperature applications.

Increased static pressure above 100 kPa (1 Bar) is required to maintain the liquid phase for high temperatures operations.

 

THERMINOL 68 -26O TO 360OC

Therminol 68 is an ultra-high temperature fluid with excellent thermal stability when operated at maximum bulk temperatures up to 360oC. Static pressure of about 200 kPa (2 bar) should maintain the liquid phase at high temperatures.

Therminol 72 is an ultra-high temperature fluid with excellent thermal stability when operated at maximum bulk temperatures up to 380oC. Static pressure of about 600 kPa (6 bar) should maintain the liquid phase at high temperatures.

Ideally suited for ultra-high temperature applications that also require low temperature fluidity. This key benefit can offer significant reduction in capital investment and operational costs associated with freeze protection and pump equipment compared to other ultra-high temperature alternatives.

Therminol 75 is specially developed for use at ultra-high temperatures up to 385oC whilst maintaining the system at low pressure. Static pressure of 150 kPa (1.5 bar) should maintain the liquid phase at high temperatures, the product offers heat transfer coefficients equal to or higher than other synthetic liquids in the same boiling range

Consideration should be given to the system design and handling of the product due to its slurry point value of 75-80oC. Trace heating, heated storage units and low point draining should be discussed at the outset to ensure smooth operations.
