We are pleased to confirm the increased capacity for ZinKlad 1000 in Europe with several new plating lines being approved for our system. The increased availability will further give unrivaled support for OEMs in the region and will help satisfy the ever-increasing demand. ZinKlad 1000 zinc-nickel system is hexavalent chromium-free and will meet today’s industry demands for the highest performance coatings.  

Meeting evolving industry needs

Amongst these new applicators for ZinKlad 1000 is Huster, a German-based family business with over 120 years of experience in the industry. Huster made the decision to install ZinKlad 1000 to meet the evolving increased requirements of the automotive OEMs and in particular the latest SCANIA trucks requirements. 



Complying with REACh legislation, our black zinc-nickel (Enviralloy Ni 12-15 G2, TriPass ELV 5100V2 and TNT12) – or ZinKlad 1000 B – is seen by the industry as the best process on the market to satisfy the latest Scania specification, due to its excellent coefficient of friction results against several substrates, such as steel, paint, and aluminum - something no other zinc-nickel based process has managed to achieve.

We have been waiting for the right solution to meet the changing needs of the industry and the evidence from initial line trials using this process gave us great confidence in its performance.” Huster have now been running the system for several months and have met all the criteria to become a ZinKlad applicator.
